An ethical superannuation company came to me with a challenge: their digital experience worked, but it didn’t connect. Members could check their balance, but had no sense of the impact their money was making — or how it aligned with their values. This meant the company wasn’t showcasing one of its biggest strengths: its ethical ethos. They needed a mobile-first experience that could highlight the positive outcomes of investments, reduce support reliance through self-service, and create something useful, emotional, and shareable to stand out in a crowded market.

In a 2 week sprint, I designed a high-fidelity mobile app concept that brought ethical investing to members’ fingertips; combining self-service, transparency, and visual storytelling.

The concept positioned ethical impact as a core differentiator, with features like an ai-powered personalised recap of each member’s investment summary highlighting the specific ethical outcomes their super had contributed to, alongside impact visualisations and an ethical investment dashboard to drive motivation and trust. These features created in-app moments that felt “worth sharing.”
